Flowers and Deities Guides Hub

Tutorials for the first deathmatch through hidden arenas.

Guides Hub

Flowers and Deities dropped on Steam on 14 August 2026 as a single-player rainforest autobattler with deckbuilder shopping. You do not tap cards onto a grid in the Slay the Spire sense. You assemble a roster of units and spells, spend Favor to drop them into columns, then spend spilled blood to twist the fight while morale still holds. New commanders bounce off that mix because the store page sounds like a deckbuilder and the first arena plays like a formation war.

This hub is the map for every how-to on the wiki. Start with Getting Started if you have not finished the tutorial or you are converting a demo habit into a 1.0 run. Move to How to Play when you need the combat loop in one place: deploy order, Favor caps, best-of-three series, and the speed controls in the corner.

Combat systems worth a dedicated page

Blood is not flavor text. Every corpse on the sand feeds a pool you spend on spells, summons, and emergency sacrifice. If the arena dries out, you can kill your own kin to keep the gods interested. That economy has its own traps, which is why How Blood Works exists instead of a single paragraph buried in a beginner list.

Recruiting is the other half of a run. The Tower sells units and rituals, Reputation promotions raise shop quality, and the 1.0 Slave Hunting feature lets you capture enemies after certain fights. How to Recruit Units covers those pipes so you stop buying a sixth copy of a unit you already cannot afford to deploy.

Campaign, formation, and controls

The launch build expands the main campaign into a 6×5 stage structure, then unlocks hidden arenas and champion phantoms after you clear the grid. How to Beat the Campaign is the walkthrough for pacing, magic-damage spikes, and the final boss problem Steam reviewers already flagged.

Formation still matters after the autobattle starts. Reach now maps to attack range, summons inherit the tile you click, and mobile enemies punish units that lock a target and never look up. Positioning and Summons is the page for that pain, including the wither-beetle style summons players keep misplacing.

Controls is the short operational guide: right-click encyclopedia, combat speed, UI scale 1–3, and the Low-End Mode added in patch 8.15.

Three launch-week gaps now have their own pages. Difficulty and Saves covers Thorned Path, post-defeat gear easing, and the demo-save lock. Status Effects covers Poison 8, stun resist, morale above 90%, and the keywords we will not invent. Achievements covers the 15 Steam badges and the Statistics Tablet without a fake trophy list. The desktop nav only shows the first seven guide links; the rest live here on purpose.

How these guides connect to builds and items

A tutorial that never mentions origins is incomplete. After you can survive two arenas, open Origins and Faiths and the starter builds page so the next run is a plan instead of a shop accident. When the inventory becomes three pages of sickles, switch to Magic Items and the Forge guide.

If you want a ranking rather than a lesson, the Units Tier List and Origins Tier List collect observed standouts without pretending we have a lab spreadsheet for all 125 unit types. For a first-week verdict, read the Flowers and Deities review.

Use the run planner before you click New Profile, and keep the campaign tracker open if you like ticking stages. Official patch text lives under Updates so these guides can stay mechanical instead of turning into a news dump.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers drawn from the current Steam build.

Which Flowers and Deities guide should I read first?

Read Getting Started if you have not finished a campaign stage yet. Read How to Play if you already understand the city hub and keep losing the first deathmatch.

Do these guides cover the demo or the 14 August 2026 release?

They are written for the released Steam build. Demo-only habits are called out, especially save incompatibility and locked archetypes.

Where do I learn origins and blessings?

Those live under Builds. This hub stays on how-to questions: play, blood, recruit, campaign, positioning, controls, difficulty, statuses, and achievements.
